QUESTIONS
WHAT IS EYEBROW EMBROIDERY?
HOW LONG DOES MILLY'S EYEBROW EMBROIDERY PROCEDURE TAKE?
Eyebrow Embroidery is a process where colored pigments are added to the skin. This technique fills in the sparse areas on your brows to give them a fuller brow look. It is a form of semi-permanent makeup. At Milly’s, we offer 3 different types of eyebrow embroidery:
The whole process takes about 2 - 3 hours.
BASIC BROW
  • Conventional method of applying and filling in color onto the top layer of the skin.
WHAT KIND OF COLOUR PIGMENTS DO YOU USE?
Milly’s is using an organic non-toxic coloring that is made from plants.
GRADIENT BROW
  • This method clones the look of an eyebrow drawn using an eyebrow pencil.
WHAT IS THE EYEBROW EMBROIDERY PROCESS LIKE?
6D BROW
  • This method clones the look of your original eyebrow, giving it a very natural look. Fine strokes using the feathering technique is used to produce a fuller, darker, natural looking end result.
  1. Our beautician will trim and shape your eyebrows
  2. Eyebrows are drawn to your liking using an eyebrow pencil
  3. Once the shape is confirmed, numbing cream will be applied
  4. Color will be added to the skin
  5. At the end of the process, soothing lotion will be applied to speed up the healing process.
HOW LONG WILL MILLY'S EYEBROW EMBROIDERY LAST?
DOES THE PROCESS HURT?
It varies for every individual. Several factors which include skin cell turnover rate, skin type, metabolism and how well you take care of your brows. But it is estimated to last for 2 years on average.
The eyebrow embroidery process is almost painless. Our therapist will apply numbing cream before proceeding with the eyebrow embroidery. If you feel any form of discomfort, kindly inform our beautician immediately. We will reapply the numbing cream to minimize any form of discomfort.
HOW LONG DOES THE PEELING LAST?
Approximately after 3 - 7 days, the skin will dry up and the scab will start to peel off. Avoid peeling or scratching the scab as it may hinder the healing process. Also, intentionally peeling the scab removes the color deposited onto the eyebrows.
HOW LONG WOULD MY EYEBROWS LOOK DARK?
For 1 - 2 days, your eyebrows will appear darker and bolder. This is due to the oxidation of the color pigment. Approximately after 3 - 5 days, your eyebrows will look lighter from the first session as your skin heals over the pigment.
SEMI-PERMANENT (EYEBROW EMBROIDERY) VS PERMANENT (EYEBROW TATTOO)
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A TOUCH-UP?
For Semi Permanent Brows, it does not last forever, for most, it can last for 1 - 2 years. Thus, you have the flexibility to change the shape of your eyebrows to match the latest styles. On the other hand, having permanent brows would result in a fixed shape that cannot be modified.
It is best to come back 1 month after the first session for a touch-up.
I HAVE UNEVEN PATCHES ON MY NEW EYEBROW EMBROIDERY!
This is a very normal and natural effect. Depending on an individual’s skin type (oily, combination, normal etc), the skin may not fully absorb all the color applied. Hence, we would highly recommend a touch-up 1 month after the session.
CAN I STILL DRAW MY BROWS/APPLY MAKEUP TO MY BROWS?
We would strongly discourage any form of brow makeup 1 - 2 weeks after getting your eyebrow embroidery. Your brows are still healing and it requires some time before the wound is fully healed. Applying makeup while the wound is still healing would run the risk of having an infection. However, if you really need to apply makeup. you may wish to use a non-toxic, organic-certified makeup product for your eyebrows.

Avoid vigorous exercise and perspiration as it may affect the healing process.
